Default Mojave Help

I have an 87 mojave and it seems like it tops out fast. BUT when i say fast i don't mean quick it just seems like when i hit 5th i have a lot of throttle left and it doesn't use it. Maybe im just crazy but is there anything i can do for more top end and not loose too much low end?

what gearing and size tires in the rear are you running...it sounds like either your mojo dosnt have the power to pull the gearing/tire combo that your running because its geared too tall or you it could possibally be that your cams, valves and piston/rings need to be replaced just from 19 years of wear....d oa compression check and see what the psi is...it should be around 200

My engine was rebuilt like two years ago. So the piston rings and all that should be good. I have the origonal tires on it or at least the original size anyways and the gearing i am not too sure about.

count the teeth of your front and rear sprockets...stock is 12/43...and where did you get the idea that you got a .060 over wiseco in there...wiseco only makes pistons .020 and .040 over.....i still say do a compression check and see what kinda numbers you get...maby you blewe a head gasket? as far as getting some more power that cobra pipe isnt gonna help any lol........

Well hell i dunno maybe it is only a .40 but i know it is a wiseco piston. I just knew it was the biggest one so it prolly is a 40. The original was so screwed up thats how bad they had to bore 'er out. lol But yeah i'll count the teeth. It runs fine and all that it just seems like there is room for like a 6th gear or somethin lol. Its not doggy. As far as the cobra pipe goes i was told it was a good one for that quad and i've read on here that it isn't so hot so who the hell knows. But anyways thanks for the help though.
