Welp, if I have to pop off that cover, I'm gonna have to do it tomorrow with daylight after school How hard is it to get that cover off?

first time it should take around 15 minutes and you might need to take the foot peg off....just pay real close attention as to how everything goes together........

I have a Clymer Manual for it...When I pop that sucker off, are parts and bits going to be flying everywhere?

No...just pull it off slow and go easy on the cover and you'll be fine

Ok well...I took off the cover and inspected the spring on the kickstart, seemed fine, but then looked at the gears. They were pretty chewed up, so I replaced them, and put everything back together. Now the next problem... When I go to push the kickstart down it doesn't budge....And I'm pretty sure it has to do with the clutch, cause before we took it apart, the clutch plates were tight, and the cable was too...But when we went to put it back together, the plates were loose and so was the clutch cable. So I'm thinking it has something to do with that??? PLEASE HELP!

You know how they're in that clutch plate holder like thing? Well before I took the clutch assembly out of the motor, they wouldn't move freely..basically stuck in position. Now, after I took them out and put them back in, they moved freely around from side to side(basically able to wiggle them around). And now saying that, I kept all the parts together so I wouldn't lose anything, how could they possibly be tight before I remove them and become loose after I put them back in???? Ideas???

to make them loose you more then likley missed a plate, or didn't have the last steel plate lined up correctly and the hub didn't go all the way on...hope this helps
