Any Tecate 4 owners out there?? If so, tell me what mods you have done to your T-4.

DG pipe and silancer, 38mm carb, milled head etc. And last but not least a fricken hole in the case. Waiting for the perfect KX500 donar motor. Well at least I still have the wifes lakota to ride here in the winter. The Tecate sucks in winter, but hey its my dune machine. Actually I have been wanting to turn it into mainly a drag quad/hill shooter and get the new Team Green Sport quad, but I don't see it. If Team Geen don't hurry up I guess I will be riding a Raptor.

Yep. Got two of 'em. An '87, that's completely in pieces right now, had the engine rebuilt (to the tune of $1500, it was hashed), and a MINT (not the color) '88 with a 2" extended swingarm, +2" A-arms, Klemm Research pipe, and an aftermarket lighting kit with a Ricky Stator. No motor mods yet, it doesn't need 'em. The quad only has approx. 80 hours on it since new. Although, I may have the top end reworked this winter for more poop. I'd rather ride green!

I recently bought my first Tecate 4, I pd $100 bucks for it. It's complete except for plastic, cyl, shocks, and stator. Bought it because alot of the parts will interchange w/ my mojave.

Wish I had the extra cash to buy yours, too! I could start a collection. As far as the A-arms, they were on the quad when I bought it, and I don't really know who made them. I think they were advertised as Doug Roll pieces, but I don't think he makes Tecate parts, just 4-trax (sorry guys, didn't mean to mention honda crap on the Kawi forum!).

I'm slowly rebuilding an '88. So far I have an FMF pipe and silencer, Boyeson Rad valve(for a KX 250, not yet sure if it will work), Works Performance front shocks, had the rear rebuilt, OMF swingarm skidplate, renthal bars, DG front bumper & Holeshot's on the back. I can't wait for summer to see how this all works!
