My friend was thinking of buying a blaster, but I found a good deal on a Mojave, is it more powerful, and an overall better machine? thanks.

Top speeds are almost identical with a very slight edge to the Mojave. The blaster is quick and may "feel" faster. As for the overall best machine there is no question that the Mojave is it. 4 stroke reliability, dual overhead cam 4 valve, disc brakes all around, easy to use reverse, great handling and jumping, excellent woods quad, liquid cooled, very fast for a 250 4 stroke, just plain fun do it all machine. Unless you are a 2 stroke fanatic I can't see any reason to choose a blaster that has no reverse and no brakes and no better handling over a Mojave. Plus, the Mojave is a kawi.

In a test between the Blaster, Mojave, Warrior, and 300ex in ATV Action they said that the Blaster was the second fastest behind only the warrior and the Mojave was last. As for being quicker, well the blaster finished second again to the warrior and the mojave was last. When they took them out on the track the Mojave was last and the Blaster finished 3rd. Overall the Mojave finished last with the Blaster in a tie for second with the Warrior and the 300 EX won. Also they said the Mojave was the most in need of a redesign.

I have a 93 Mojave and my friend has a 91 Blaster and I can always beat him when we race in the woods or in a drag race. The mojave also handles much better than the blaster and has better suspension.

Top speeds from that article were as follows.
Warrior 58mph
Blaster 54mph
Mojave 52mph
300EX 52mph coming in last according to the stop watch by a fraction of a second. The 300ex ranked overall as the one the riders liked the best due to the handling and suspension.

I definitely feel my Mojaves have been a better choice than the Blaster, I think most would agree that the Mojave has more potential when modified than the Blaster as well.

But of course the 300ex is really restricted stock. It is also tuned down from the factory, the Mojave has more horsepower stock. The pipe lets little exhaust out. But it was a stock artical so thats how it is.
