Default Praire 650, How good?

I was just wondering how good the ol 650 praire is compared to the 700? Is it that far behind in power or is it still relatively close. And all you guys talk about the 4wheel drive not working inless you can move the quad? Does that mean if your in a hole and your in two wheel drive you can't put it in 4x4 mode and spin the back tires slowely till it engages? Just wondering.

The 650 has plenty of power. The 700 just has more. For all practical purposes the 650 can do everything that the 700 can. The 700 is similar to a mildly modded 650.

The 4x4 system does have a quirk. I think the front tires need to roll for the 4x4 to engage. This is not a problem unless you like getting yourself in trouble before you engage 4x4.

It is very good. Just a little less power. If you ever do get stuck in 2 wheel drive, all you do is give it enough gas to spin the rear tires and it will engage.
