Default gas shocks, what to do?

so i have this old mojave
- the shocks could use a little help, the fronts are ruined and need replaced, but the rear is a nice Works gas shock, but it doesnt have any gas left in it, anyone know where or what kind of gas goes into these gas shocks, where i might get some without having to take it in?

Your WORKS gas shocks may need rebuilding, makes you wonder why the gas is gone.
I'd give WORKS a call, see what they suggest.
Turn-around time in sending them back to WORKS for a rebuild shouldn't be too long.

Yea, I have realized that, it sat for quite a while!
But, it was my grandpa's atv and there was no cap on the cannister and the cannister was just hanging from the swing arm with some wire. so i thought i would try and shoot some gas into it and see what happened!
I just dont know what type of gas you can use to put pressure into the shock.
I tried air in the front shocks, although i KNOW they need rebuilt (they aren't worth it), it just didn't seem to have the power for adding pressure.

the rebuld is about $80 and takes probably 2 weeks depending on their work load, so says one website i found.

so maybe i should just rebuild.
