Need help,Changing the belt on a prarie 360
the way i do at as is allot of others is to get a 27 mm socket and spin the secondary clutch(back one) counter clock wise while lifting the belt back on. Can be tricky the first time but but once you get the hang of it its not bad. Watch your fingers and just do the opposite putting it back on. Also, better instructions can be found at
atv.dnsalias.com . just go to the teck tips and the 360 is the same as the 650.

I had recently done this and I also used a 27mm socket to turn the secondary clutch backwards while working the belt off. It can be a little tricky but not that bad. Certainly better than buying a special tool. Reverse the process to reinstall the belt. When you get the side cover off it will all be self explanatory. The entire job start to finish took me about 45 min the first time.
Good luck,

Need help,Changing the belt on a prarie 360
craw8108,
I have had it for a little more than two years now and have about 2000 to 2500 miles on it. It has had it's share of abuse but I am very **** about doing the maintenance on it regularly. I do it all myself and some people say I go a little overboard with it but I don't believe in such a thing. I have had to do the regular things like adjust my valves and renew brake pads I have even had to put a new belt on it but the only re-occuring problem I ever had was I have had a front right brake caliper come loose on me twice while I was riding several miles out away from camp. I crippled it home both times and I think after the second time I finnaly have it whooped. I do still check them regular though. I use to keep a secondary fuse on my winch but I blew it too many times pulling myself out of messes so it is now strait wired and I have not had any more problems there either. All in all, mine and my wifes prairie's have been great machines. I keep tinkering for more power and I'm liking what I'm getting from it more and more all the time.
Hope this answers your question Keep Riding,
