The trade-off for using low gear is the fuel consumption increase. You will burn a lot more fuel in low gear. The belt will last quite a while in high, but again use low when you plan on working the engine. If you are just trail riding you should be fine using high gear.
Low gear = longer belt life, increased fuel consumption
High gear = long belt life, better fuel efficiency
On the 4wd system kawi uses you can shift it on the fly safely under 10 MPH (as long as your rear wheels aren't spinning) and it will shift into 4wd almost instantly. You just have to be a aware of the terrain you are coming up on and decide in advance whether you need 4wd or not. If you need it shift it in a few feet in advance and you will be good.

Thanks but when I ride the in 4wd it will only engage 10mph and It will engage. And what do you mean when the wheels turned. And is it bad to put an atv in 4wd when it is moving, or just kawasaki you can put it in 4wd while moving? And how is it in trail riding is it a nice ride or is the ride bad?
THANKS A LOT FOR THIS INFO

On my Cat, 50mph in low, and trailriding is awesome. Its stong points are rocks, logs, rough terrain, mud and water crossing. Im not to familiar with the Kawi, except for the V-Twin engine. As for 4wd system, its different than Arctic Cats, as in Arctic Cats you can shift whenever you want, and it will always engage at any speed
