I had a long discussion with a few mechanics concerning ATV quad oils. Most of the mechanics that ride BF 650/750 use regular Kawasaki 4 Cycle Motorcycle Premium Engine Oil SAE 20W-50. The price is only $4.99 per quart.

For $4.99 per quart that is rated better than automotive oils and close on par with Synth MC Oils. You really can't beat the value of $4.99 Kaw oil VS 14.99 Synth Kaw oil. Your engine is expected to last as long using regular Kaw VS Kaw Synth. It boils down to your personal opinion or preference.

 

I go with royal purple oil with a wix filter from NAPA. Good results so far. Filter # is 51358

Good informative post. You are right in that it is personal opinion. Synthetic or non-synthetic, I have never owned a vehicle or machine that has had an oil related failure, except for stuff like ring blow by, etc. Synthetic oil can give you an additional .5 to 1 horsepower in automobiles, depends.
