Default rear spark plug on BF650i

How hard is it to get to the rear spark plug on this quad? Is it something the dealer has to do or can I get to it? Thanks

you can do it. i checked mine when i had the belt cover off for a spring change. so you may have to take the KEBC cover off to get to the plug, but that is not a big deal, just DO NOT LOC-TITE THE KEBC COVER BOLTS. use anti-seize. they are stainless and softer than the normal hardware. also, do not turn the key on while the KEBC cover is un-bolted but hooked up.

other than that, pretty straight foreward. first unhook duct coming down from top. unbolt the ring of bolts around the cover and set the cover on the floorboars (or unhook the two plugs and you can remove the cover completely out of your way). then you can attempt the rear plug. you may have to experement with the right combination of stuff to get the plug out.

the good thing is you should be farmiliar with the clutch innards, and with this procedure you will get a look at and get over the dread assoiated with clutch inspection the first time.

and also, anti-seize the plugs. there have been a post or two where the plug threads stripped in the head and i think hi-temp anti-seize and low torque will stop this.

i'd probably allow 30-45 minutes for first time. start to finish.

If its the same setup as AC 650V2, I removed my seat, and used a swivel head on my socket and pulled it that way. Pretty simple actually.
