Default faulty breaker switch 650i

I own a new 650i brute, with ten hours and 65 miles on it. The machine is in the shop because it started overheating on me my last ride. The shop stated, there is a faulty breaker switch for the radiator.

Why did it take ten hours before it started to overheat?

Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

I am concerned about the reliability of my new purchase. I am new to ATVing, please help.

I would not worry about it. Minor electronic issues sometimes arise early in the life of a product. I have an 04 Grizzly that had a thermal sensor fail at about 40 hours. I replaced it no big deal.
