Yes I say it. I have been thinking about building one. But, buy the time its done it might be cheaper and alot easier to buy a Raptor. But the 60 HP (stock) Ninja 500 motor will still kick its ***.

I put a 400 Suzuki 2 stroke in a Mohave.I also lengthened the swing arm 6 inches . It will go straight up anything you point it at.

It might but the T4 chassis is not any better (size wise).

There was a pretty lengthy earlier discussion about the possibility of the project on this board when the issue first came to subscribers. The bike in the issue was a pretty poorly executed effort at the project. Basically it is just too much motor for the Mojave chassis, bottoming the suspension and wheelying the short-wheelbase Mojave uncontrollably. The Tecate-4 would face the same limitations. The motor would hold great potential for a project bike but Kawasaki really never produced a suitable frame. The best solution would probably be a Lonestar or Roll Design unit at unfortunately great expense. if you were committed to the idea and money were no object that would most likely be the way to execute it properly.

How much does a Roll (or Lonestar or Laeger) frame cost. I'm talking complete frame (only frame itself, A Arms, swingarm -no shocks, axle, wheels or anything else-).
I'm getting really interested in building my own quad with a 500KX engine.

I am in the process of gathering parts to convert my tired, underpowered Mojave to EX500 power. I have an 87' Warrior with an FZ600 motor, a bit on the heavy side but will outrun any 4 stroke quad (no raptor races yet) and most 2 strokes if you can find any traction. It has been thrashed hard and the thing has held up perfectly if you don't count rear sprockets that look like soup bowls.

A roll design lobo chassis designed for trx250r parts runs $7495 from Duncan Racing. Price includes Frame, Sub-Frame, Custom Axis shocks all around, swing arm, upper and lower control(a-arms)arms, tie rods, steering shaft, and hardware kit.
