01 mojave 250 help

Default 01 mojave 250 help

I was wondering if someone could tell me if top end clatter is normal on this engine.
its not real loud but i is noticable..........thanks

I wouldn't say its normal, what kind of oil are you running in it?

Yea it is normal if its the same noise im thinking of. Mine did it when you first pull out or bog it a little bit in a lower gear or worst in a higher gear. I tried all kinds of things to try to get it to stop but its there whether you want it or not. I tried 100 octane race fuel and it still did it, so its not the lower octane fuel making it do it. Then i tried cleaning everything out, gas, oil, rad you name it i did it. A good way to fix it so you dont hear it anymore is get a loud pipe and you'll be like " What noise?" LoL, [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] Sorry for the novel, had to get my point across.

Lol... yeah. Mine does it too. but it's a lakota. I can hardly hear it outta my Supertrapp. lol

thanks.....the noise is there all the time .not just under load. btw its entirely stock

yup my lakota makes that noise too even after new valves, springs and a cam chain

I think it's the cam chains that make the noise when lugged...they kinda slap would be my guess. Lots of Mo and Kota stuff to post on. wooohooo

My mojave makes the sound when i get on it hard after it's been lugged down, my guess would be its normal because its been doing it since i bought it and i've never had a problem with it, i just got used to hearing it.
