Default 01 mojave 250 help

The noise is the camchain hitting the tensioner. The camchain had some how stretched and it slaps against the tensioner at the top end. To fix the problem, simply replace the chain. A new one of course. The same noise was made in my kfx440, it took me a while to figure out what the noise was, but when I took it apart with the help of a service manual, I found that the stretched out chain was what was making the noise.

I dont know what you guys hear, but with my bike I hear a click in sequence with the engine. The noise is made not even a second apart from each other over and over again. At the very top of the engine, where the cams are. I replaced my chain along with new oil and gaskets and it went away. I also made sure the chain tensioner was properly working as well. Now my bike runs like I just bought it, a champ.

Now wait, after reading all of your posts, you guys are talking about two different noises. One noise where when you are driving the bike in low gear bogging it out about to stall. The other noise is when the bike is at an idle and you hear the noise at the top end around the cams. I am talking about the one where the bike is idleing. That is the camchain, a fact.

I think its' the tensioners that suck and do not get the chain tight enough

Yes it made that noise before i replaced the chain and after i replaced the chain. The old chain was stretched so bad it wouldnt adjust tight any more so thats why i got a new one. When i put the new one in it still made noise adjusted to specs.
