Does anyone remember when the Mojave in 1987, and the Magazine reviews were.....GLORIOUS!? Well....here's my question......Does it p*ss any other Mojave owners off, besides me, that the Magazines now trash the Green Machine everytime they do a test or shootout? SHOUT OUT FELLOW MOJAVE OWNERS!!!

Not all atv magazines are trashing the Mojave!
I just read an article in ATV Action, that gave it rave reviews. It said after all these years the Mojave is still the most reliable quad. What mags do you read?

Well....lilgirlblue, ATV Action isn't widely avbailible in the county in N. Georgia where I live. I'll try and grab a back issue if it. I mostly read Dirt Wheels and 4 Wheel Action. What I'm mostly miffed about is the Shootouts.

 

I agree with Lurch. I get tired of reading any of the shootouts and they always put down the Mojave and then say how great the 300ex is. I've owned a 250X and spent quite a bit of time on a Mojave and just don't think the differences are that dramatic. For the price of a new Mojave compared to the other machines I think the Mojave is an awesome deal.

 

I remember those reviews. I bought a Mojave back in '87 when they first came out. It won all of the shootouts back then against the same bikes that are "beating it" today. Go figure...

 

I just bought a 2001 mojave. I didn't need to read a magazine to tell me what ATV to buy, what handled good or bad, what was fastest or slowest...Matter of fact I could care less what some magazine has to say about a Mojave. I bought the Mojave because I liked it, not because some magazine "told" me too. Fact is they haven't changed the design much in 14 years, if it was a piece of crap no one would buy them, Kawasaki wouldn't be making any money on them and they would design a new sport quad. It is obvious to me that it is a successful design because the Mojave is still here, so let some person sit behind a desk and write comments good or bad about the Mojave, because while they are sitting behind a desk writing, we are riding and certainly having more fun!
