Default Kawasaki 650 V2, oil expulsion at high speed

Hello,

since I am a french Canadian, it's possible that my english doesn't be perfect, so I'm sorry !

I just recently bought a 2005 Arctic Cat 650 V2 ATV. As you know, I have the Kawasaki 650 V2 engine. During the last week, I was riding on a forrest road at around 60 MPH. After while, let say 5 to 10 minutes, I realized that my right leg was wet. I though it was water at first but in fact, I realized that it was some oil. I stopped the engine at that moment. I checked the oil level but it was ok. I was unable to see where it came from. Since I'm not really a mechanic, I decided to bring my ATV to the garage. 2 days after, they told me that this oil came from the air filter because the oil became probably too clear according to the high speed and heat.

Does it already happenned to some of you ? Do you think that my mechanic opinion at my garage is right ?

Thanks for your help !!

Chris
