Has anyone had this before. I own a 05 700 prairie. When I use the back brake it barks loud. Only has 1200 miles. I was told it would last for years. Is it worn out by chance. I have changed the fluid in it at 100 miles, and again at 1000. Thanx in advance for any info.

 

My brakes squeak also, and bark sometimes when i stop, i heard its normal. It goes away if you get your quad up of the wheels, hold slight pressure on the brakes, and give it gas while spraying a good amount of break cleaner on it. Its mainly dirt, sand,ect....

 

Does yours have the wet brake like mine, in the rear?

The brakes are most likely bad. Look at them, if there is no padding on the brakes, then replace them. The noise is most likely metal rubbing metal.
