Most of the bigger atvs will push snow, I have a plow on my prarie 650 and have no problems. I know a guy who has a suzuki vinson 500 and it has a harder time than my 650. so basically it comes down to what you want, and how much you want to spend. Personally for plowing snow Im glad I bought the 650 and not the smaller 360 as the wife wanted me to buy.

We have the Prairie 360 with the Swisher plow. Plenty of power and easy to handle. Power doesn't seem to be near the problem that traction is. Even with chains on all four tires I still run out of traction way before power. I have used the quad for backfilling behind a trencher when putting in water lines and even working in the dirt you can spin all four tires with the 360.
Lots of folks want the extra power and speed for trails and it will depend on your riding style what you really need to buy. The bigger machines put a lot more horsepower to the ground and this can tear up equipment if not used in a reasonable manner.
I would suggest you get in contact with an ATV club in your area and talk to them about what kind of riding is available and research what you really want and need. Good luck with your purchase, this is a great sport with lots of nice people involved.
