07 bf 650i should I get
I have been lurking this forum for about a year, and this is a topic that made me want to join and speak up on.
I absolutely love my 2007 650i. I previously had a 2002 Polaris 700, and although it was not an EFI, I can state without a doubt that the Kawi is a superior machine. It handles well, is much lighter than the polaris, and very quick. I raced a 2002 700 that had an 800 header and clutch and it wasn't even close. Kawi wins by a mile.
However, the 650i does have it's downside. There is absolutely zero storage on this machine. Nothing at all. And the stock tires are terrible. Budget to buy tires immediatley, whereas the Polaris generally comes with some half decent rubber.
No matter what you buy, someone will tell you that you wasted your money and someone else will tell you that you made the best purchase of your life. My two cents is to go with the Kawasaki 650i. Good Luck!

po po has good front diff but no manual lock. the front wheels kick in once the back slip and if you ask me, i'd rather not slip climing a technical muddy hill. plus the kawi cost less and will outrun the po po 700.
po po is good if you want a nice ride. kawi is good if you want to do donuts, powerslides and outrun your buddies on their polaris 700 or 800!
both brute forces will outrun any polaris!

I love my V-Twin, but i have to disagree. A 650 will not outrun an 800sp. Ive failed plenty of times, stock to stock. Right now, against a stock 800sp, i can barely win. The 700 on the otherhand cannot hang with a 650Vtwin stock to stock.

V2 RIDER, i appreciate what you're saying there. however i never told him a 650 artic cat could beat a po po 800. i wasn't even sure they could beat a 700 but i'm glad you can cause of my kawi loyalty. 650i has 47 hp to your 42 and 125 less pounds. plus a tranny thats designed to rev quicker. i'm not sure if you have 9.9 comp or not but the 650i can take a 800 for sure.

rtboy!! no!! I had no idea you had been hanging out in the Kawasaki forum! Who knows what you've heard by now! hahah just kidding. NO ATV can beat a SP800 STOCK, EXCEPT, a Bomb800, and some/most of the time a BF750.. the 650 cannot, and this is a known fact. So if you've narrowed your search down to these two, then i think you have a tough decision ahead of you. First off, im about to buy a new SP700, so of course im going to advise you to go Polaris. But, i think you can't argue with the prices of their machines. You could get a BF750 for the price of a SP700. Anyway, Yes a BF750/650 will smoke a 700, not by too much, but it definatly will. But i think thats all its going to do. Polaris gives you many more ways to use you're machine. So much storage, Lock'N'Ride accessory system, awesome stock setup, legendary ride/suspension, better in the muck than a Brute, more ground clearance, etc... And Zombo, if ANYONE switches from an '02 Sportsman 400/500/700 or whatever, anything will be better. Back then Polaris definatly did not have their act together. The new 700EFI is 95% different than an '02. Anyway, i would go with Polaris, but i think you'll be satisfied with both. As some have said, test drive both, that has alot to do with it..

There is definitely a difference in power from the 650 and the 650i. There are reviews of the 650i that have it faster than a BF750..(Check ATV Scene's review).. I used to own a BF750 and I cannot tell a difference in power with my 650i with Dyna CDI. The 650i is really quick and handles great.

proof that the 650i is faster than anything on the market except the bomb 800.
these are eight big bore machines all under the radar gun!
the proofs in the pudding.
