a friend of mine rolled his brute force and now stering is so tight cannot steer it ,i looked at front drive train and it looks fine,but sterring shaft looks bent ! is there a bushing below the handle bars about 3 inches?

not to be picking but its a 750 lol yes there is a bushing there try regreasing it, if that doesnt do it he's looking at a new steering stem.
