I was curious how many miles some of you all have on your brute and how there holding up. Mines an 06 750 and only has about 600 miles on it so far. I talked to a local guy here that has an 05 and he has almost 7000 miles on his, He says its starting to burn oil. Anyone else have close to that for mileage? any problems?

I gettting ready to service bike soon and going to be running amsoils 10w40 motorcycle oil. that should help keep her running for a while i hope.

mines a 05. got 900 miles on it. only probs ive had is that i replaced the tierods & ends with better ones and my fan stopped working the other day(got it to work but still diagnosing the problem). WOW, 7000 miles is quite alot. i know a guy with a sportsman 800, its an 06 or 07, had it about 1yr. and he has 2500 miles and he rides everyday.

 

Thsi guy is paralized from the waist down and rides as fast as anybody ive ridden with. He rides his bike almost every day. to and from work and all over the mountains.

 

chevytrkn, how did your bf run right after you went through that water hole? i still have a problem w/ mine sputtering and running like crap after i go through water

 

its the steam, if ya go in slow let the steam subside, you plow through it all you want!

 

2200 miles on my '05, adjusted belt once at 1200 miles, replaced rear hand brake cable (froze up) only trouble I've had.........
