Default P700 still hang on the trail or track?

I have not ridden with any of the new 650's or 750's yet. Will my P700 stand a chance against these newer bikes?

i wouldn't race you through the woods. at least not if we were betting money. but as far as power. i can tap the gas one third throttle, pop a quick wheelie, then immediately while still moving run a second wheelie from the same take off. the 650i is a beast. if it had any more power off the line it would do no good. however i doubt it would embarrass the p700 in a drag considering their from the same v twin family i'm sure yours is just as powerful in the real world. would need a dyno or a stopwatch to tell the difference i'd bet. that's a good trail quad i just wanted to rock crawl and go mudding with friends so i got irs. you got a good bike!

I have owned both and the 700 prairie will hang just fine. In a 100 yard drag, the 700 prairie will only be behind by about 1-1.5 quad lenght at the most. And, like jason650i said, if we were racing through tight trails and woods with turns, you would take us. I sometimes really miss my 700prairie. I wish I would have kept it as well as bought my bf750i.

I rode P700 a lot - it is a all-around good quad. This will stand at even or better against the newer 650 or 750. The P700 has the best of the both, power and handling. Guess on which machine Mike Penland has won the most in utility class? (before he jumped the ship to BMCA)

Very true. I could have said it better myself. It seems that since the BF models came out, the 700 prairie has been forgotten about, yet it remains one of the best all around big bores ever made. And, I have seen a modified 700 prairie beat a BF750 and a outy800 in a 300 yard drag as well as top speed. I didn't get to ask what the mods were, but it was on fast utility quad. And, IMO, the prairie is the best handling big bore out there. Notice I didn't say the best ride for comfort. I mean it has the best stability (SRA) and fast handling for a big bore. Funny thing is, I let mine go for a BF750. And, yes I love the BF750, but still wish I kept the 700 prairie as well. And, like you said, Which machine did Mike Penland win the most utility class races on???? 700PRAIRIE!!!
