Default KFX 400 Recall?

It was a deal i couldn't resist. I was initially looking at the Suzuki z400 which sold for $4,999. But I then accidentally stumbled on the kfx400 which was $200 cheaper. Knowing that both of them are clones, plus my kfx actually says "Maunfactured by Suzuki Corp.", I couldn't go wrong getting the kfx. They had about 10 kfx's at that price, 3 z400's for $4,999 and 5 honda 400ex's for $4,999...all 2006 models. They'e even selling the z450's for $900 less. YES, IT WAS A STEAL!!!!

The bikes on the showroom floor had fluids and gas ready to roll out the dealership.

Those are good deals.

The dealer is asking for trouble keeping them all loaded up like that.

Had to wait on mine, it was still in the crate.

Yep, warranty work.

Got my recall, but was gonna wait and put about 10 hours on it. Taking in on Wednesday. Have 'em give the look over and make sure it's all still there.

I haven't gotten my recall yet and my bike's about a month old. The busy schedule has only allowed 4 1/2 hours on it. When I went to the kawasaki website and entered my VIN. It did mention of the recall but I will wait till the 10th hour before bringing it in, so I could have the cover replaced and have the valves timed.

When you take in you should also be able to get a free oil change out of the deal.

I think the new hardware comes with a new filter.

Since we're going riding again this weekend, I wanted to make sure we were all set with the recall - I called the dealer, gave them my VINs, and they confimred that that recall fix had been taken care of before the sale. . .so if you are still curious about the status of your recall, I suggest you do the same and just call your dealer. It took me all of 5 minutes to resolve this.

That's smart thinking. I'll give them a call tomorrow when they open.

Default KFX 400 Recall?

I just got my recall notice in the mail for my kfx400, 06 last monday. I would ask your dealer to replace the clutch cover if I were you. I am haveing oil discoloration, just like the recall says. I am taking mine in on monday. Kawasaki says that it should only take 2 hours to replace it. And I would change the oil too. Good luck and happy riding.
