KFX 400 Recall?
#2
It's a recall for the magnesium clutch recall that corrodes. The dealership should replace it. I bought my '06 kfx 400 2 weekends ago and the dealership claimed to have had them replaced. We'll see about that after a month if my recall notice doesn't arrive. Otherwise.....I'M LUVING IT!!!!!

I just bought two this weekend (and had FUN at Big Bear in California!) but no one at the dealership said a thing about it, plus it's not mentioned anywhere on Kawi's site under the recall section, so I guess it's a wait-and-see situation.

I only heard about it in this forum. My dealership hasn't been informed of any recall. But he claimed that if there was any, it was fixed before they were brought out to the showroom. Yes, I gues it's a wait and see thing.
a1r1ka, how much did you get yours. I got it for only $4799!!!

Most bikes on the showroom floor have no fluids in them at all. So, at that point, they haven't really met the need for the recall. The way my dealer explained it was, until it's sold, it's not eligible for a warranty recall. Can't recall something that hasn't been sent out. Which kinda makes sense. Why would they (basically Suzuki since they make it) want to pay to fix something they haven't made money on yet?

OMG, that hurts.
Thanks for stabbing me in the jaw!

I got mine for $5,500 each, OTD, in San Diego.
I could have gotten them for $5,200 each OTD in L.A., but I didn't want to drive through that hell.
Tell me that you live far away and got lucky because you knew someone that knew someone that got you that deal. . .

You guys need to move down to Texas. You got to hunt and walk away from half the dealers around here. They got people paying msrp, plus all the set up fees. Took a week of hagling just to get mine for 5800 otd.

It took some haggling, but I was pretty happy with $5,500 overall. . .we could have gotten yellow or white Suzuki 400s for $5,099, but I, ahem, wanted the orange, even though I will prob wreck my plastics soon anyway.

The Suziki dealer was at 6250, and that was for an 05. Plus, he still was going to add tax.
