Default first oil change (need advice within 2 hours)

heading to kawi dealer in a few hours what do u guys recommend for oil the weather here is starting to cool down should i stick with 10w-40 or go with 10w-30 the riding weather will be tween 30-70 F, as the manual says and what is the amount of oil i need in the manual it says 3 different capacities.
2.2 qt when filter is not removed
2.3 qt when fiter removed
2.7 qt when engine dry

Well I hope you have not changed your oil yet, because 2.7 is too much. Your quad has a certain amount of oil that does not drain out. In your case it's .4 qts. The amount of oil that you will need to replace if you replace your filter is 2.3 quarts. If you do not replace your filter you will need 2.2 qts.

The 2.7 is if your quad is completely bone dry. This is the case if you split your case during an overhall or when the factory is adding oil for the very first time.

The 2.3 quarts will also need to be checked once you're done. The BF has the dip stick screwed in to check the oil. Most other quds will have the dip stick sitting on the threads not screwed in. If you don't screw your dip stick in while checking your oil, you will overfill the crankcase oil and it will blow out into your air box.

have you ever considered synthetic oil gives better lubrication on start up and engine runs cooler also in cold weather it flows the same in the winter as it does in the summer more expensive though but worth it !
