2004 700 belt light ???
The belt light is a reminder installed by Kawi so you don't forget to check your belt. You can take it to the dealer to have them reset it, or go to dnsalis.com I think that's right. It's kissofdeath's web site and they have info on how to do it yourself. Or if your like me and are the lind of person who checks your belt deflection and checks it for frays and cracking when you change the oil just get a dyna or vdi cdi. Both will do away with the belt light, limp mode, and reverse limiter along with really wakeing up your engine.

2004 700 belt light ???
I have a 2004 Arctic Cat with a 4 prong plug with a loop wire to reset the belt light for it.
I thought there woulld be a simple procedure for the Kawasaki 700P to reset it.
Please if anyone knows I would really apreaciate the post as I live in Montana and its an hour drive one way to the Kawasaki dealer.....
Thanks!

Only two ways the light will come on.
1 if the belt switch is activated (in the clutch cover)witch in that case you won't be able to ride more than 20 miles an hour(about that)and won't be able to ride 4x4 mode
2 the light will come on at about 100 hours of riding we saw from 90 to 110 hours of riding it depends.
on your 700 look just above the clutch cover you will see 2 big plugs 1 gray and 1 black unplug them and switch them turn your ignition switch on the belt light should flash fast then unplug the 2 prung plug and the light should flash slowly let it flash for more than 5 seconds then turn ignition switch off and replug everything to it's place if the belt light is still on after you put the ignition on then you must reset the switch in your belt cover.
