Kawasaki brute force 650 or praire 360 ?
I went to a dealer and almost sealed the deal on a praire 360 but come to find out i cant get insurance from my provider on a atv so i didnt buy cause of the distance i had to travel to get to the dealer and anything could happen. He also quoted me a great deal on the brute force 650 1000 dollars diffrance, i wanted to stay in my price range but looking at the thing i was impressed. I need a atv for extreme reliability because of the distance between me and the dealer, hunting, rough terrain, snow, and snow plowing. I think think the prarie is a great price and its larger than the suzuki eiger i was looking at at the same dealer and the diff lock. Just want t oknow any problems i might have with either of the these atv`s and also if anyone could tell me the top speed of the 360 ?

Well, here i go. I have a kawasaki prairie 360 and i love it. IT has been super reliable and i have over 3000 miles on it in 3 years. Depending on what skill leval you are ay. Those 650s are pretty dang fast. If you can handle the power, just get the bigger bike. THey are really reliable. The reason you have to use low gear is to help keep the belt tight. Im not an expert on this but the belt is being held much better in low gear when going slow. My rule of thumb is at a constant 15 mph or lower, keep in low gear. Every once in awhile, you may have to check and or check your belt deflaction which is so easy. YOu can do it and you wont have to go to the dealer. GO to nyrocatv.com and go to the tech tips sections under praires and look up the belt adjustment. Same as what ever kawasaki you get. Good luck, kawasaki is the way to go.

I have a 650bf and love it. The prarie has the same transmission and locking diff as the bf.The problem is the prarie has half the power and just about as heavy as the bf.if you wish to be competitive the 650 is the way to go ....also to concider is the prarie is IS and the bf is a straight axle, unless the dealer is willing to give you a 650i for the same price. either way i dont think you can go wrong.

We have one of each here on the ranch and I would get the 650 everytime. The 360 rides really good, but the 650 is better everywhere else. The 650 is way faster, (duh), and just has way more power for the things you were wanting to do. Plowing, hunting (if you were packing a elk or something the rack capacity is more). I would look at the 650 if I were you, for an extra 1000 bucks, I would get the 650.

Dads has over 1000 miles and it is flawless. It is a tough bike, goes anywhere you want, all you have to do it aim. You asked the top speed of the 360, it is like 42 or so, but we are a pretty high altitude so you may get more depending where you live.

I have 2300 miles on it all i have done to it is change the oil and i ride it like i stole it , so far nothing has ever gone wrong and has never left me.....I really love it . I race sport quads up the dunes in oregon bone stock and beat most the 400's with mods.
