Default High Comp. Piston

I'm am tring to find a high(er) compression piston for a 360 prairie (stock is 8:3) and I would like to bump it up to (9:1). The 300 Prairie used a 9:1 piston and I think the 400 did to. ANY HELP OR IDEAS WOULD BE AWSOME.

try "WISCO ".
i put wisco .5mm over piston & rings in mine with no problem.
flatter piston with deeper pockets for valves,in case you go with an after market cam.
however i beleave the 360 jugs are NIKASIL coated so you would not beable to just bore them out a bigger size without recoating them first, wich can be rather expensive.
L.A. SLEEVE sells a sleeve for the 360 for about $70.00.
another suggestion might be to check out a site like maxrpms.com and look into a big bore kit has everything you need.
good luck.................

I'm by far an expert and sure I'll be corrected by the end of this thread.
NIKASIL is a nickel cadmium coating that is on pourris metals such as aluminum sleeves, witch seals the walls for compression.
mostly on two strokes and smaller cc 4 wheelers because of higher rpm ( racing etc.) because aluminum is lighter and displaces heat faster then iron.
compared to cast iron sleeves which are in MOST 4 strokes do not require to be coated.

again I'm not sure what type of sleeve you have, the easiest way to find this out is to disassemble your engine and using a magnet (old speaker magnet works well) hold it to your sleeve, if it sticks its iron, if it does not then it's aluminum.
another way is to look at the inside walls, NIKASIL will look like shiny almost polished but to many factors can fall in to play and make you think otherwise IE; worn ,contaminated, etc.

the best way is to talk to a machinist and perhaps the manufacture.
good luck........

I ENCOURAGE ANY BODY TO PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG SO "STRINGS" DOESNT GET LED ASTRAY...

Your 360 has the electro-fusion (or splattered) walled cylinder that can't be bored out.
