kdx 80 help

Default kdx 80 help

i just bought a 1987 kdx 80 it looked mint ran nice 2 days later i was about to put it back in the shed as i drove it in it
seized up turns out it was the rod bearing to the cranck my freinds tell me it will cost $700 to repaiir canadian
is this true should i be calling the people i bought it off of and get my money back i maybe put 1 hour on the engine any response would help thanks

Default kdx 80 help

about all I can offer here is that on an old snow machine I had, the crank bearings went. It was a Yammie Enticer 250. It cost around $100 to get it fixed I think ?? That was about ten years ago though .. I'm out of touch with that sort of thing now, but 700 seems a bit steep. I mean, you probably didn't pay that for the bike .. or ver little more at any rate ..

Best to check with your local shops and such, see what they would charge. My cousin had a 1980 KD80 which I beleive was very similar to the KDX80 .. probably the same engine ...
