everyones been telling me im putting in the wrong ratio in my kx, wuts it suposed to be

 

If your engine is not seized and if it is not fouling the plug nor gives too much oil smoke, whatever ratio you are using must be OK. It should be around 32:1 on your KX if you are using a mineral based oil. If you are using synthetic based, it could be higher/leaner. I've seen a claim as high as 100:1 on Motul brand.

 

40:1 is a safe and good all around ratio for mineral or synthetic oil.....im my 96 kx i use 40:1 amsoil dominator synthetic and in the 01 yz i run 32:1 amsoil just for a little extra oil down in the bottom end because i have alot of work done to it and dont want any failures......

 

If you bought the bike new it should have beened a sticker on the rear fender that said the mixed ratio witch is 32:1

 

I run 32:1 in all my 2 strokes.
