Your gonna want to put water proof electrical greese on all the connectors, they are known for letting water in and causeing some short circuits, Get a good CDI and you will be much happyer. Do the regular maintenance as mentioned in your owners manuel. Just the basics.

Since you got the 650i, good choice , unless you plan on hot-rodding your machine 24/7 and drag racing all the time i wouldnt really bother with a cdi, as on the 650 its much less retarded than the 750's. Mines quite a bit quicker than a 750, not no arm and a leg quicker but enough to win heh. If your coming up to lots of technical crawling, mudding, climbing etc, you have got to get in the habit of switching to 4x4 when you think you are going to need it. My favorite 4x4 system is still Polaris's, although i like the locker on my 650i. Kawasaki really really needs to change their 4x4 system i think, id rather it engage 4wheel drive immediately, not having to worry about moving 2-4ft first. Just perform good maintenace, KEEP YOUR AIR FILTER CLEAN heh, thats more important than alot of folks consider, and keep your oil changed (changing mine every 500miles with Castrol 10w-40.) Reports are the Kawi v-twings are very reliable and durable. OH AND UH, hope you like lookin at the blue sky when you take off gl

I do all sorts of riding, from sand to mud. Does anyone know if 27" tires will clear without a lift on a 07 Brute 650? And what's the best all around tire out there? I run 27" outlaws on my suzuki, but thats a little more weight than I want on this one. Any replys would be great.
