Ok.. I've got just over 200 kms on My 07 BF. My last Ride there was like a loud popping sound.. and then the Belt light came on and into limp mode. I came home.. reset it and everything rode it around my yard, and everything seemed to be fine. Then a couple days later I was going for a ride and about 5 minutes in the exact same thing happened. When I took it apart everything seemed fine... the belt had no damage at all. What do you think would be causing it to go off for no reason?

 

Is the belt switch actually flipping to the off position? If it is, then you probably have too much belt deflection. Your dealer should be able to shim the pulley up for you if that's the cause.

 

I have a belt light problem also on prairie 700 the light stays on had belt replaced by dealer then light came on while unloading took back to dealer and was told needed new kbec actuator replaced this and still have same problem any help out there.
