Default accuator question

Very commen mod people do. Some say that it frees up the clutch a little bit from the engine brake constantly being on it. But what i did, was just take my fork out and kept the actuator plugged in because my actuator went bad. My 4x4 light flashed so what i did was put a piece of electrical tape over the light and im happy. I dont have to worry about that stupid light. Nothing will effect your 4x4 if you take out the engine brake fork, it just takes away the actuators power to keep the belt engaged and have engine braking.

The person you saw with the v force cover probally did that mod were they put the cover on and bought a cdi at which takes away all the flashing light

If you want to get rid of your automatic engine braking, take the fork out. If or when you actuator for the engine brake goes bad and you dont want to pay 200 for a new one that is not needed, take the fork out at that time and cover your flashing light up with electric tape and your off. Good luck

P.S, by the way, remember to use LOW gear as much as possible to keep your belt good. When pulling, mudding, climbing, or going a constant 15mph or slower, etc. good luck wit the new ride.

Good info, is taking the fork out simple or is it something I need take to the shop. Went through about a foot of water yesterday and notice 2 & 4 wheel light flashing back and forth shut down and back on and no flashing. When this happens is the bike engaging to 4wheel drive. Thanks

Hey tenn brute, It is very easy. All you have to due is take out the circlip snap ring and the whole actuator fork pops right out. You probally are going down the same path as me. The light flashed everyonce and awhile. It eventually stops working so do what i said if you want and cover up the light with a peice of black electric tape and take the fork out.
