if he wants a drag machine I would get a used KFX700 then take the cash you save off new mod the tranny get a muzzy exaust setup kand N air filter and bore her over to 800 sucker wont loose to anything but the most modded rigs also get a IMS fuel tank. there are more mods to do but those are some of the big ones.

 

why not a LTE (looney tuned exhaust) its a dual exhaust system, but its loud. but some ppl like that

 

almost every kfx 700 exaust system is a dua the muzzy is a 2 into 1 it is lighter produces more power and sounds freaking awsome! Muzzy is based 30 miles from my house I have alot of first hand expierience with them and wouldnt go any other way

 

Hey Mitch from Oregon, looks like your bike is a QuadZilla ?? But good to hear your a Kawi fan. I've done extensive Mods to my KFX700/800 . I agree there is no easier or funner(is that a word?) quad to ride. What have you done to your bike ? Ride hard and be safe ......

When you get your new KFX450's please do share; I personally and a bunch of friends have alot of interest in the new Kawi sport.. Sorry to hear you had to let the 700 go (that's life). Let us know how it turns out .....

I would think the only reason the raptor700 has a faster top speed than the kfx700 vtwin is because the kfx700 frame is heavier. I believe the 700vtwin makes more HP and torque than the raptor700 motor, but the raptor700 is much lighter and thus compensates for the power difference. Then again, I could be totally wrong, which wouldn't be the first time.
