Steer?????........ You have to have the front wheels on the ground for that right? That's tough.

Anyways, mine steers fine. Easier than my P650.

middle of 06 kawasaki revised caster angles to lighten the steering. perhaps you got a newer 06 model. mine steers pretty heavy, my brothers p650 steers extremely easy compared to mine( 05 BF750).

It is not a rumor, but it is a fact that the 06 and 07 BF750 have different P/N double A-Arm parts (same as 650i) that will give a lighter steering feeling than the 05. Just by looking at them, I couldn't tell the difference. If you ride, yes, you can tell.

Are you sure they changed all the 06's? I have an 06' 750bf and it steers like a bear, I really wish I could change this with out spending tons of money.

OK, so what can I do about the "bump steer" on my 05 bf750? When I say "bump steer," I am talking about when i hit bumps, the handle bars want to rip out of my hands. Are there any steering stablizers out there or what else is there to do. I know the 06 & 07 bf750 has some adjustments to their geometry for the steering and shocks, but I need to know about what to do about an 05 bf750, and not going out to buy a new bf750 is not the answer for me.

I ran the radial ITP XTR tires for a short time. They were to mudd specific for me. The radial tire did however bring a dramatic improvement in tire roll and bumpsteer. Granted they were also taller and wider then the prior biasply I had on, from stock 25"s to 26" and 1" wide front and 2" wider rear. I rolled over logs hardly feeling then and rolled over rocks that would take alot of effort to keep my hands on the grips. If you like aggressive use tires and run mud often the XTRs are pricey but do perform very well.

If you can turn the bars side to side, full lock to lock with one hand, it is probably updated. I have not seen any numbers to prove anything yet.

This "Bump Steer" is on the '07 too.
A new set of Aftermarket Shocks will fix the bump steer alot as the Shocks will asorb the impact & handle the shock of the "Bump Steer" thru the Shocks instead of transmitting it directly to the rider as the Stock Shocks will do.
Not everyone can justified spending $1200 on a set of Shocks. You can just do the Front Aftermarket Shocks first, then later do the rear units, this will help keep the cost down. The "WORKS" shocks on my "Now" '07 750 have fixed the "Bump steer" not to 100% but very good results. I still get a bit of a tug now & then but nothing like it was before.
A steering stalbilizer would take out that "tug" on my refitted upgraded WORKS Suspended '07 750 Blue Thunder, w/o a doubt.
