I am trying to get this thing running right. Its an 89 Mojave. It had a DG pipe on it, but wasn't jetted. I installed a factory pipe and rebuilt the carb. She would run, so I was adjusting the idle and at some point about 15 minutes of running, it just quit. Now I have NO spark at the sparkplug. I checked over all wire connections and checked for any worn wires, but found nothing of interest. I don't know where to go from here. Someone told me to check the stator, how in the world would I check that? Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome!!!

The coil could be bad. I'm not good with electric things, so you'll have to wait for someone to reply who is. I am parting mine out if you need any things like a coil or stator.

 

rols, Thanks for the offer. I picked this thing up with a complete 2nd engine and almost another complete bike. I have another stator and a bunch of other wiring stuff, just don't know how to figure out whats wrong. The coil would make sense though! I am looking for a working rear shock if you have one or know where I could get one.

just get a test light and check if the stator wires are sending out spark while your kicking it but if you have all of those extra parts i would just replace all of that, it would be eaiser then trying to figure what is wrong.

 

Just a little update, I have power coming from the stator on the black/yellow wire. I cant seem to find it anywhere else though. I changed the coil, but I am not sure if either one is any good. Should I try to change the cdi box? Thanks in advance
