Been lurking around & reading this site for the past few days now, so I thought I'd go ahead and join, and say hello.

I picked up a brand new '06 Brute Force 650 (SRA) about a month ago now. Went in to look at an '07 P360 and walked out with the BF650. Last one they had and I think I got a pretty good deal on it. This IS my first atv so I'm feeling pretty much in the dark. I havn't even gotten through the 10 hr. breakin period.

A buddy of mine bought an '06 BF650 about six months ago, so I pretty much already new what I was getting into. After all his research and my own, IMO, the choice was clear.

I'll try my best not to be redundant in my questioning. I know how forums can be. But...

I've been searching for days about tires. Yeah, yeah, I know... Since I don't really have a riding style yet, I'm assuming it will mostly be trail, but I want to be able to get into anything. I'm leaning towards the ITP Mudlites. I havn't been able to find much about the Kenda Bearclaws though. Any input on them would be appreciated. Thanks!

Congrats on the new ride. YOu picked up a pretty bulletproof atv. I have mudlights on my 360 and i like them allot. They handle way better then the stockers and much better traction. If i were in the market for new tires i would probally go and buy the maxxis bighorns. THey are very tough. They are radial and are a great all around tire.

P.s. As long as you use LOW range when pulling, pushing, climbing, mudding, etc, you wont have any probs from you belt going prematurly bad. Go to nyrocatv.com under the prairie section in tech tips to find out all you need for belt maintenence and anything for the prairie(bf 650sra).

Enjoy

mine has 48 miles on it. put a .025 shim under the carb needle and got rid of the cold natureness. plus got rid of that low throttle hiccuping. also put a dyna ignition on it. my tires are 26" dirt tamers. hope you have good luck with your machine.

Welcome to the site and congrats on a Brute purchase. Yeah, riding style has a lot to do with your choice. I do a lot of trail riding (Woods, mud, hills etc...) and I really like my Interco Swamplites. They have a very deep tread, ride great, move lots of mud, and handle decent on trails with lots of turns. Give them a look and see what you think.
