650 Scrambler Rumor
#1
A friend claiming to have Kawasaki connections says he is told from the inside that the 650 is De-tuned for the Sport\Utility Application. A Scrambler type version is on the drawing board with carbs\cam and exhaust changes and frame and plastics to make up the Hot Rod unit.
Can't wait to see one run. I'll just watch though. I'm a hunter\explorer rider.

Therock, I think the 650 Scrambler Rumor arose during your source's recent vacation on Fantasy Island; however, I could be wrong.
On to another subject: What does the "4.5 PSI" indicate in your signature, "51 MPH @ 4.5 PSI"?
Yes, I know "PSI" means pounds-per-square-inch, a common pressure notation, but: pressure of WHAT? Fuel pump pressure (don't know if your quad even HAS a fuel pump)? Carb slide chamber vacuum differential? Carb venturi pressure differential?
Please explain; thanks!

The psi refers to my tire pressure. At 3.5 it runs slower on the black top. I weigh 250 pounds @ 6'2" and weight train.
I have added lots of poundage to the machine. The Bear Claws are not light. Neither is the 32 ounces of Multi Seal tire sealer I put in each one. Oxlite CV guards, all kinds of stuff in the rear bag, and so on. The machine is still a ball to sling around the trails.
I seen an ATV article with the same rumor in it today. I can't remember which mag. You'll see.
I just hope the 650 has some sport handling characteristics.
