I've got a bf 750i. The battery drained on me while i was riding. new battery didn't fix it, drained it too. just ordered voltage regulator hoping that the problem. just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem? i do like to play in high water and mud. i don't want to troubleshoot to deep into the wallet. i've really been liking the information i get from this forum for the now problems, future problems and mods. if someone could help it would be great.

If the voltage reg doesn't this problem, I am thinking you are having a wiring/connector problem. Check the rear BUS connector for corrosion. Do search in this forum for more info on where and how. Also, what is the terminal voltage at the battery while you are revving the engine at about mid-throttle? It should be 13.5+ VDC if your stator output is healthy. Sometimes defective EBC system can drain the battery too because its circuit has the dc power (always ON) with ignition key off. Good Luck.

 

thanks 4 the reply. seen alot on bus connecters. prob my my next problem. in alot of water.does the grease work?
put the volt reg on seems to be working. cant find my volt tester so time will tell. rode around the yaed 4 awhile after work. it didnt take long to run the batery down enough it wouldnt run before. it did fine so i hope its a fix. cant wait to get my dyna ign monday to try it. lot of people like it. got snow last night and tonight so it may b to slick to tell a diff right now.
