Default Changing handlebars

Hey, on my KFX 700 2004. I want to change the handlebars and go with something alittle bit more custom to my liking. So my question is anyone done this, if so can I see the pictures of your 700 with the new handlebars?. What do you do with the black piece that indicates all the lights when you put a aftermarket set on there. What is my options. looking threw the mags, and internet gets old so someone might have some more info.

What are you looking to change the bars for something diffrent? I know that the bars that come on the quad are strength matched to the steering steem so if you roll it over now it will most likely break the handle bars than the other steering parts so if you go and mount up some stronger bars they will not give before the steem i know of a good website for stuff on the V it is www.700v.com well good luck and stay safe...

the steering stem will break every time compared to the bars, been there done that 2 times. if you want a beefy enough steering stem cut out 1 ft of the stem 6 inches each way of the upper brace and weld in a solid piece of aluminum shaft, i went through two stems without hardly bending my factory bars, i'd say do both upgrades, the bars and the stem, but as far as the bars being weak so the stem dont bend isn't true.
