snorkle and jets
#1
Added a external snorkle for my 02Prarie. Sounds and feels like its sucking too much air, I have limited speed and no power. I guess it needs to be jetted. Anyone know what size I need for an elevation under 1000ft? Anyone have a good website for info on installing jets?

With a 2" snorkel, you have to rejet. But if you put a 1 1/2 inch reducer on the end of it, you wont. I have 2" snorkles, with a reducer on the end of my air intake snorkel. My main jets are 122, so i didnt rejet with the dial-a-jet, but i havnt had alot of testing time either, its been COLD!!!

I hear you, when I woke up this am it was -2. That is like subartic for this part of Pa. How do you like your Dial a jet. I'm up in the air about a dial a jet and a Dyno Jet. How hard was it to install? How durable is it(can it be submurged, How will it hold up with mud?) Why did you replace the main jets? And how hard was that? I never got involved with the Carb before, yet alone jet. The testing you did so far, did you see any difference? I heard alot of things about dial a jet. Nothing really bad, just that its not a nesecity unless you ride different altitudes. I would use mine to adjust for temp, and different mods, so I dont have to rejet all the time.

My atv came stock with 122 jets. My dial-a-jets are mounted inside my airbox, so if i submerge them, i have a way bigger problem then wet dial-a-jets!! They were however very easy to install. If you go to www.arcticchat.com , there are alot of pics and posts on how to snorkel, install dial-a-jets, clutch springs, ect....... Ive never been involved in a carb EVER. Thats how easy the dial-a-jets are to install!
