my 05 kfx is running weird in the cold. if u take off an rompn it a long distance, when u slow down it shuts off an wont start unless u choke it. it only seems to hapopen in the cold. does temperature affect the carb ever?

 

It sounds like your carb is running really lean, possibly clogged up pilot circuit by old gas that turned to varnish (gummed up). Time to clean the carb/jets. If you have old gas in the tank, replace with fresh gas as well.
