2006 brute force plastic issues
well my brute is now three weeks old and i've already boken and cracked the front and rear fenders....the front fender on the 1st day of ownership, and it was just a small stick.....i was sorry to discover that kawasaki used the same plastic as chevy did for my rear fenders on my truck,i've broken or cracked 3 chevy fenders at 1000 bucks a wack..chevy was smart enough to realize the problem and stopped using THERMOPLASTIC OLEFIN and went back to steal. I wish kawi would realize their problem and correct it.....if i could find a fender flare or extention ,i would cut the fenders way back and add something more durable, but cant seem to find.I'm about to make my own out of black rubbermaide trash cans.....My previous atv(honda) is three years old and the plastic has taken so much abuse with only scratches to show for it.....any thoughts on this

GTCHIEF,
That makes a sense because your desert yellow plastics don't have clear coats and they are not as brittle as the "special" painted ones. As you have guessed, cold temperature is another major factor. Just like anything else, materials become more brittle as the temp gets colder and break easier. Was that the T2 in the movie where it gets shattered after being exposed to liquid nitrogen?
