Default Help prob with 650

I guys, I have a friend with a 03 Prarie 650 4x4. All I know is when I put my kfx 700 in reverse and mash it, unless you got that button mashed u dont move very much, like its a shut off. Well my friends got this problem in all gears. Put it in D and hit the gas it will cut out at pricisley the same time it does in reverse. IT does that no matter what you do. Could this be a big ole problem or is it something I can work with?? Just askin maybe someone has had this simliar problem. thanks

Flashing 2/4WD does not put quad in the limp mode.
Flashing Belt Light does.
