Default old gas

I just took my 04 v out from storage after about a year and change and it won't run without using the choke. I put stabill in it when I stored it but maybe it's been to long. Can someone tell me where to start on getting it running right? Thanks.

did you run the stalbil fuel thru the engine after you put it in the tank. if not the carbs may be gummed up. put in a little freash gas with some carb cleaner in it and run it on choke a little while and it may may clean out the system. then change the oil and filter.

I have not had a chance to look at the v yet but I've been reading the forums concerning my situation and it looks like I might need to clean the pilot jet. Does anyone have some pics they could put up that shows how to get to the pilot jet?

It does sound like the pilot jet.I havent had the V carb apart but on most carbs you turn the carb upside down and take the bowl off the bottom of the carb usually 4 screws hold it on.after you take the bowl off you should see 2 jets that you can screw out ,the smaller jet is what your looking for.The hole is usually so small you can barely see through it.Well good luck and I hope the V carb is like most carbs ,if not then forget everything I told you.
