Default another top speed question

i was wondering if anyone could tell me the top speed of the mojave and the lakota, i just recently became intrested in these two quads, curiosity just got the better of me. my cuz has a mojave, but it needs a starter, so it will be a while before we can clock it. and also do they make nerf bars for either of these two quads?

From my understanding, these two quads have the same engine. However the Mojave has a clutch. If you are good with a clutch, you should be able to get the Mojave to top speed quicker. I would guess that my Lakota goes around 55-60mph. This is only a guess. However, I know for sure that you can buy nerfs for both of these quads at rockymountainatv.com Hope I helped somewhat

The engines are really not similar at all. A mojave has a DOHC 250 that came from the NINJA 250 street bike. The Lakota is closer in design to a bayou 300 engine. Having said that I think both bikes will probably run in the 55 to 60 range with a slight advantage to the mojave.

with my mods listed below I got my lakota up to 57 according to my Garmin GPS (on a very slight downgrade). The only difference between the Lakota and the Bayou engine is the cam (lakota has hotter cam) and carb from my understanding (and parts diagrams at kawasaki.com). I dont know much about the majove but I have read that it can outperform a Lakota but I have never raced or ridden a Mojave. I have read that both the Lakota and Mojave use the same frame, but I dont know for sure. I'm pretty sure I have seen nerfs somewhere for the lakota but I wouldnt swear by it. As far as the honda TRX250- I raced one (maybe a 02-03 model with the auto-clutch) when my bike was all stock and as far as I know it only had an aftermarket pipe and off the line we were neck and neck but I left it behind in the top end.
Hopefully someone with a Mojave can give you more info on it.

i think i got my blaster to 60, that said ide say a honda 250 utility will run 45 and a racing honda 250 will run 55. i raced a 250ex and a recon so theirs my calculation. i found some nerfs, i just purchased a mojave for my lil sis, so now it needs upgrades. i need more freinds to ride with, all of mine are tight wads, so i just bought a mojave for my lil sis on ebay. shes one of the best riders i know.
