Wow...I am knew to this forum, but it seems like there is a lot junk talking that goes on. So..with that said, I am not trying to start another war here, but for a 180 lb, 5'9" guy that rides trails and some MX, will I fare better with the KFX or the LTR? Thanks guys.

I'd go with the KFX for a couple of reasons:

1. Reverse is nice on trails.
2. The width of the LTR is great on the track but will be a liability on trails.

Just one guy's opinion.

Yeah, I agree with you there, but I have a tough time buying the first year anything. I'm a Dodge Cummins guy, and I sure as hell won't buy the new 6.7 until it's been out for a few years. The LTR has been around (sorta) so that makes me feel more confident in the LTR the the KFX

this is not the first quad that kawsaki has built. the engine on the kfx450 is already proven. it is a carryover from their dirt bike. 6th gear taken away and reverse added. I go with the kfx450. I would not ride a yamaha if you gave it to me. The ltr is ok, but no reverse. Or you could just build a 450 killer like i'm doin.....
