i'm in the market again for a new quad b/c my brute wont keep up wit my friends yfz, trx, or my dad's banshee. and it pisses me off!!!!! i love the new kfx 450r its pretty lightweight, looks awesome, and cuz i'm a kawi man. u guys wit the new kfx 450's help me out is it as quick or quicker than the other 450's or should i just get a raptor 700r and call it a day? does the rappy hav the quickness? i dont want to keep gettin dusted.

I would just get the Rappy 700. Kawie is a first year model and the rappy is proven. It has tons of quickness and you wont be left behind. In fact, you may be leaving them behind. I love my new rappy. If the banshee is stock and not modded you will kill it. My shee has the heck modded out of it but stock for stock the rappy owns it.

 

I would also go for the raptor. I completely agree with kfxandahemi. Kfx is brand-new and barely anybody has one to find out its bugs. Raptor is proven, and it's Quick! It will beat all of the other atvs you listed for comparision. and im a yamaha guy too. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Get the kfx450r. My buddy has one and its awsome. He said its faster than his LTR450 when it was stock. The thing revs quicker than any quad I have ever ridden...by far. I doubt it will have any bugs...kawasaki did not just start makin quads. Plus, raptor = craptor. trust me, I have ridden a few. And to the fellow with the raptor 350....you could beat an LTZ in a race. An LTZ250 that is. Sorry guy, but the raptor350 is not even close to being able to beat a Z400.....but don't fret....just trade up or get you an LTZ400....

 

I am also VERY partial to Kawasaki. And I agree with LTZGUY that Kawasaki is a proven name in itself. I think that the BANSHEE is the baddest bike that yamaha has ever produced, and it would take something impressive (any brand) to overtake a well modded Banshee. That said I have heard only RAVE reviews about the Kawasaki 450. And even though I am partial to the Kawasaki, I think the yamaha YFZ450 is a great bike also, and I for one would take either of the 450's over the Raptor.

I know there was guy over on kawieriders and he wasnt too impressed with the new kawie 450. I dont want to sound bias because I have a rappy, but I would get it. They are proven, and now with my PCIII power commander, it runs hard.

 

I just rode the heck out of my new KFX 450 today.I had a pretty well modded 2003 660 Raptor.The KFX is way easyier to ride.I think the new 450is in a different class.On the MX track it would do better than a Raptor.Woods riding the raptor might be a beterchoice but today was a really impressive day and I would take my new KFX 450 any day over the Raptor..The KFX flys through the air with ease.The suspension is really good for stock.Corners way better than a Raptor.

 

what kind of riding do you do most ?? how much do you weight?

next door neighbor has one get killed by my ltr and my buddies stock trx
i like kawi but its just not the best 450
i love my ltr you should consider it
