I just bought a 2001 bayou with what i was told a slight oil leak. well i bought it and brought it home without even starting it. well now that its in my garage it wont go into any gears..it feels like there is tension on the shifter but after what would be shifting it the atv still rolls like its in neutral.all ive done is the replaced the starter moter and relay assembly with ones off my 89 because they were missing on the 01..any ideas??? your help is needed because al im hearing is complaining from the wife..

have you checked the clutch adjustment. also it could be that the shoes on the primary clutch bell on the crank are shot or stuck maybe.

on the right side of the atv as you are sitting on it normally there is a little black cover with 2 screws. remove the screws then loosen the 12mm lock nut under the cap. turn the flathead screw clockwise until resistance is felt then trun the screw counterclockwise until resistance is felt. hold the screw from moving and tighten the locknut.
