I have a '85 Kawasaki Bayou 185 that the fuel pump is fried. Does anyone know if I can use another brand of fuel pump because the cost of the replacement is so expensive or can I install a gas tank above the engine and run the gas line directly to the carburetor, will this type of set up work on this ATV and if so, what type of gas tank, will a Kawasaki 220 ATV gas tank work? have u tried going to a kawasaki dealer when i had my 185 they helped me get parts, i never had a problem with the fuel pump unless the battery was dead then i woulfnt get anygas, but i did have problems with the starter lights exhaust and the shaft, u can get a dg exhaust for it believe it or not
